I have just finished reading the book "Why Software Sucks... and what you can do about it.". Some of the issues raised by the author on the behalf of the software users is good enough.

Author has praised a lot about google web interface, but it seems he has missed one point. If google can not maintain the search accuracy better than other search engines, then good interface will not help google anymore. May be this is one of the reason why developers give priority for functionality rather than interface.
